The Jarvii Wearing an infant can make life so much easier, especially when a stroller is just not possible. There are so many options out there that it can be overwhelming. And if this is not your first rodeo, you probably have your go to for baby wearing. But do you have a go to for the pool, beach, or just a hot and humid summer day?
You should consider the Beachfront Baby ring sling. It’s made of a very lightweight athletic mesh fabric (think old school basketball jersey). It is breathable, as airy as can be when you have a baby snuggled up right up against you. The material dries super fast if you get it wet at the beach, pool, or sprayground. Some parents also use it to shower with their infant.
My only problem with the sling is it does take a toll on your back and shoulder. But that is just a function of all slings really. It also isn’t padded in the shoulder like Maya Wrap ring sling. But having padding would defeat the purpose since it would take longer to dry.
Beachfront Baby also make a wrap made of the same mesh material. If you’re infant is on the younger side or your prefer a warp, this might be an option for you. I have never tried the wrap, but it is definitely something to consider.
I still love the Beachfront Baby sling, especially during the hot and humid days in DC. If you are going to spend most of your summer days outside and/or near water, I highly recommend buying this sling. It’s great addition to your summer baby bag.
